Saturday Clubs

DFYIT offers a unique opportunity for youth living in Homestead, South Dade, Perrine, South Miami, Coral Gables, North Miami and North Miami Beach the opportunity to participate in fun and exciting DFYIT Saturday Clubs.

What is a Saturday Club?

A DFYIT Saturday Club meets on Saturdays usually for 4 hours. Most clubs meet from 10 am - 2 pm. The North Miami Beach Club meets from 2 pm - 6 pm.

What Type of Acitivites are held on Saturdays?

Club members are able to participate in:

Fun fieldtrips - most recent field trips were to: DFYIT Family Picnic, IMAX Theatre, Cold Stone Ice Cream, Butterfly World.

Rewarding Community Service - most recent community service projects include: Creation of a Mural which will hang in a local park, Bread Basket of Life, and many more

Interesting/Interactive Club Meetings - during regular club meetings youth engage in fun educational activities. Clubs provide opportunities for youth to participate in creative activities such as drawing, acting and writing while learning valuable life skills in positive decision making skills, self-esteem and drug awareness and prevention.

Much, much more....... Club also invite insprational speakers who come to talk on a number of deverse topics that affect young men and women today such as how to interview for a job and developing positive time management and study skills.
